Grand Theft Auto PS2 Trilogy Remake Incoming, Hints Credible Leaker

Grand Theft Auto PS2 Trilogy Remake Incoming, Hints Credible Leaker

Not confirmed by any means, but still a fun theory

There is something annoying in that the PlayStation 2 got four, yes four separate editions of Grand Theft Auto launched its lifetime while we're here waiting for yet another remaster edition of GTA V. Grand Theft Auto III, Vice City, San Andreas, and Liberty City Stories all launched on the PS2 between 2001-6 and are still some of the best work Rockstar has come up with. Come on Rockstar, work some of that magic again.

Craving any new information on a potential new GTA release, fans have been through content on reputable leakers' pages to see if any new information has been hinted at. And they might have found some. Popular leaker Tez, changed his banner on Twitter recently to show a potential PS2 trilogy in the works. Although it was only changed for an hour so, it was enough for people to speculate.

There was a potential secondary hint from another prominent leaker, Yaz, although he's already come forward to say that a change in banner his wasn't a hint, it was just for aesthetic purposes. However, using a picture of Liberty City as your banner when everyone is already thinking of the PlayStation 2 remakes does raise suspicions. But as we said, already debunked, so all eyes are back on Tez to see if he knows something we don't.

With the huge number of remakes that are in the works to bring games back to life on current-gen consoles, it wouldn't be shocking to see Rockstar revisit some of its previous work like this. However a banner change confirms nothing, of course, it could have just been for aesthetic purposes, or perhaps just as a joke to get people riled up about nothing. Rockstar, come on buddy, we just want a new city or two to wreak havoc in, is that too much to ask?
