Grand Theft Auto VI is quite possibly one of the most hotly anticipated titles in the world right now, and has been for quite some time. The only problem is... well, we have no idea whether or not the follow up to the ridiculously successful GTA V is even development yet. That's not ideal.
With that in mind, I present to you the news that actor Steven Ogg - who played Trevor in GTA V - seems to think that GTA VI will be releasing 'soon'. That's according to a fan who claimed on Twitter to have heard Ogg make the comment at the Brazil Game Show.

Apparently, the actor revealed that GTA VI would be released at some point in the near(ish) future, reasoning that Rockstar's 'games take 7-8 years to make, do the math'.
Whether Ogg is basing this juicy revelation on any kind of substantial insider knowledge because he has a role in GTA VI, or if he's just making an educated guess is unclear, but I'd put money on it being the latter.
Either way, by Ogg's math (assuming he's to be believed) we can expect GTA VI around 2020/2021. This would mean the sequel is destined for next-gen hardware, which shouldn't come as too much of a shock to anyone.
Last week, a former Rockstar employee who worked on Red Dead Redemption 2 revealed that he also had a hand in a couple of other secret projects at the studio, but that he couldn't reveal exactly what they were just yet. Could one of them be GTA VI? It's certainly not impossible.

Developer Rockstar is perhaps the most secretive studio out there, one that won't announce a game until its good and ready to announce it. It's incredibly rare that anything leaves that company that isn't supposed to - hell, it took years just for it to come to light that there was a team working on Bully 2 before it was ultimately scrapped.
I'm reminding you of this because it's important to note that, unless you've heard news regarding a Rockstar game from Rockstar itself, you should approach that news with a hearty pinch of salt and a good dollop of skepticism.

That's not to say that GTA VI won't arrive sometime between 2020 and 2021 of course - I'd imagine that's exactly when it'll land - just don't take Ogg's comments as official confirmation.
