'GTA 6' Fans Split Over Latest Apparent Vice City Map Leak

It's been years since the release of Grand Theft Auto 5 and Rockstar's fans have been searching for any sign of GTA 6 for them to look forward to. There have been speculations on job advertisements, theories on where the game might be set, and now the most recent 'leak' everyone is talking about suggests a possible return to Vice City.

Appearing on the GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit, one user has posted a supposedly leaked image of the map for the next Grand Theft Auto game. FrozenYogurtzzz uploaded a picture of a landmass surrounded by water with several bridges present. Some fans have speculated with this image, that it's likely that the next game will be a return to Vice City for an all-new story. Others are saying that the image is fake, and to not get your hopes up.

Cmputerguy says, "People try to pass this map off as real because of the rdr2 map that nobody believed, the difference is how much more detailed that map was, with clear locations, roads and points of interest." And they're right bringing up the Red Dead Redemption 2 as before release there was a leaked image of the real game map that many didn't believe. Ever since fans have been far more careful in dismissing 'leaks' because they don't want to get caught out again by their cynicism.

This newest map leak adds to the series of 'leaks' that have been hinting at a return to a fake Miami. According to Inverse, in 2018 there were images circulating the internet of a Miami-inspired map Rockstar was working on, but they were quickly dismissed because of the quality of the image. As time has gone on, however, more and more potential prototype maps have been appearing and so fans are slowly coming around to the idea that Rockstar really is revising Vice City's Miami roots in the next GTA game.

Fans have been eagle-eyed recently with potential GTA 6 hints, even going as far as to believe Project Americas and the Vice City rumours were true because of a hint in GTA Online. The Project Americas rumours claim that Vice City won't be the only location you visit as a potentially female protagonist, but you also go to South America to establish a criminal empire.
