Wild 'GTA 6' Loading Screen Concept Features An Unlikely Cameo

Let's be real here guys, we're a long way off getting any kind of official news on Grand Theft Auto VI. Between a global pandemic and the fact that Rockstar Games is bringing GTA V to next-gen consoles in 2021, it's not exactly looking great for the long-awaited open-world sequel.

The good news is that this long, long wait for information on GTA VI has inspired some of the fans out there into action. Whether they're putting together stunning remakes of classic entries or polishing up GTA V with enhanced graphics, there's some really impressive stuff going on. Then there's a dude who decided to make a fake GTA VI loading screen with Daniel Radcliffe Photoshopped over it. To each their own.

Glorious, isn't it? We have Reddit user JoeyNisco to thank for this particular piece of, um, concept art, I guess you'd call it. The image makes use of a meme-worthy still from a recent Daniel Radcliffe film called Guns Akimbo, in which the former Harry Potter wakes up one day to find guns have been bolted to his hands. Yeah, it's an odd film, but it makes for a vintage GTA loading screen.

Not only is a terrifying-looking character with guns attached to his hands running around in a dressing gown the sort of thing I'd expect to see in a GTA game, it's also the kind of thing I'd expect to find in IRL America. Points for authenticity there, JoeyNisco.

Other, slightly more serious GTA VI fan concepts include a pretty impressive map that one superfan put together in their spare time. The crowd-pleasing map combines the likes of Vice City, Los Santos, and Liberty City together into one epic open world that would likely take hours to cross. Given the size of the damn thing, it's highly unlikely we'll ever see such a map in a real GTA - but we can dream.

For now, we'll just have to be content with the knowledge that the new game is in the early stages of development, and that Rockstar is considering releasing it as a "moderately sized" game that would be added to via updates over time. As long as we get the Daniel Radcliffe loading screen in one of those updates, I'm happy.
