‘GTA V’ Has Hidden Cutscenes Not Many People Have Seen

Released seven years ago, Grand Theft Auto V is still a stalwart entry in lots of gamers' libraries, but there are whole swathes of the game that have flown completely under the radar.

All might crumble and disappear in the rapture, but Grand Theft Auto V will remain as a testament to what came before. Or something. There's no denying that the game won't be fizzling out any time soon, thanks to Rockstar Games' continued support for the single-player and the multiplayer elements of the game. You could even argue, why would the developer move on to Grand Theft Auto VI when it's a golden goose? It's the second best-selling video game in history, with more than 140 million copies shipped around the world, and it's one of the most lucrative entertainment products ever. Since its release, Grand Theft Auto V has generated approximately $6 billion in worldwide revenue.

And, when the game comes to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S in late 2021, I'm sure even more players will leap to the enhanced versions of Grand Theft Auto V. It would also give those people an opportunity to unlock these very rare cutscenes that have been handily compiled by YouTuber Captain Eggcellent. They are present in certain missions provided that the player fulfils certain conditions. For example, when Franklin is discovered in Michael's house, each of the residents have a specific reaction to finding the intruder.

In addition, in the mission Father/Son, if the player rescues Jimmy but not Franklin, Michael laments losing the man that jumped from a moving vehicle to get his son... and losing the yacht.

Another instance is in a Strangers and Freaks mission with Barry. Each character has a different reaction to the strain of weed - Michael sees aliens, Trevor sees clowns, but Franklin has no hallucinations and calls it "garbage." And, in Dead Man Walking, when Michael is in the morgue, there is a very sticky end to the character. The player is able to listen to the staff members' comments on his body, identifying alcohol abuse from his weight and heavy smoking from the state of his skin. But, if the player doesn't make Michael move, then the technicians use their tools to kill Michael for real this time. Eesh.

The whole sequence is interesting and shows the level of detail and dedication in what is considered to be one of the best games ever made. Perhaps this is being replicated for Grand Theft Auto VI, and that's the reason why Rockstar Games is being so reticent on the project's possible developments.
