The Halo TV show is out on Paramount+ today (24 March), but we in the UK will have to wait until the summer to receive the streaming service.

Last March it was announced that Pablo Schreiber would be stepping into the boots of our pal John 'Master Chief' Halo in the latest series giving us a protagonist quite different from the games. While Schreiber has previously appeared in a number of Law & Order episodes and Orange Is The New Black, he's possibly best known for his appearances in cult classics such as Vicky Cristina Barcelona and Happythankyoumoreplease.

If you've not seen the trailer for the new Halo TV show you can catch your first glimpse here.

However, it seems that Mr. 117 was not the first role on Schreiber's brain. In an interview with the Bingeworthy Podcast, (as transcribed by ComicBook) Schreiber explained his relationship with Marvel, and what roles he's been hoping to play within the Marvel cinematic universe. In particular Schreiber seems set on the role of regenerative, metal skeleton owner, Wolverine, saying that him and Marvel "flirted with that one for a while."

"I've had a bunch of discussions with Marvel at different points in my career. We've never been able to find the right thing at the right time, but I'd certainly be open to that. But, yeah, it's just staying open to the right path and I don't know exactly what that is, but I'll know it when I see it."

He delved deeper into his thoughts about old knife knuckles himself, now that Hugh Jackman has officially announced he's done with the role.

"That'd be fantastic, that would certainly be a dream casting. He's actually my favorite hero, from a child he was always my favorite comic book. - So I've had a long flirtation with that guy, so you know, obviously, that'd be a dream."

Ever since the trailer for Doctor Strange 2 dropped mid Super Bowl, the return of the mutant supermen has been confirmed. All we need to know now is who will be playing our beloved almost beastie.
