Don't worry everyone, Henry Cavill (or at least his leg) seems to be okay. At the end of 2020, there were reports of the actor suffering an injury while filming the next season of fantasy Netflix series The Witcher but a new Instagram post from the actor shows that he's already on the way to a full recovery, even with the festive period's indulgences.
Cavill, who plays beloved gaming character Geralt of Rivia from CD Projekt Red's The Witcher series, shared a post-run selfie to inform us all that he's getting back into working off the festive food and his hamstring is recovering.
The post reads: "We are in lockdown here the UK so I'm using my once a day outdoor exercise to go for my first jog since my hamstring injury! (More on that another time). It wasn't fast, and it certainly was[n't] far, but it has been a major step in my recovery, and my first step to getting back into the groove after a Christmas that may have involved more than a few cups of mulled wine, and an exceptionally fat turkey." It also includes a few hashtags like #lockdown and #recovery.
We can't wait to hear what actually happened to his leg though. In the original reports of Cavill being injured, there was a mention of an assault course and harness holding the actor around twenty feet above the ground. Perhaps we'll get told the story soon, once he's made a proper recovery and felt the festive period to be behind him.
Oh, and we can't wait for the second season of The Witcher on Netflix. We've been seeing so many teasers for the show as well as for the animated film coming up, so we're hoping they'll be as much of a joy as season 1 and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is.
