Henry Cavill Shares Punishing Witcher Workout Guide Ahead Of Season 2

Henry Cavill. Talking us through his Witcher workout. You know why you're here.

Now that Season 2 of Netflix's The Witcher is back in production, its star Henry Cavill has been busy getting back into shape.

I say "getting back into shape". As we've seen from his lockdown-induced time painting Warhammer and building gaming PCs, the Man Of Steel never exactly fell out of shape. He remains a chiseled statue of a man, while I spent my lockdown doing almost exactly the same stuff as him and came out looking like a cloth sack full of old meat.

Still, a good Witcher must prepare for anything, and so Cavill has been spending his mornings with a punishing-sounding Witcher training regime. As he outlines on Instagram, the training focuses on speed, explosive power, and fitness... which can hurt. I can barely run 5K without needing to stay on the sofa for the rest of the week, so I'm not sure this particular workout is for me. But hey, maybe it's just what you need? Yes, you at the back there with a mouth full of pork pie. I see you, you disgusting pig. Oh hang on, that's a mirror.

Nobody said becoming a Witcher would be easy, I guess... although I suspect even Geralt of Rivia himself would look at this particular workout plan and think better of it.

If you're hoping to see more of Henry Cavill, his new armour, and his killer jawline, you'll want to tune into season two of The Witcher when it debuts... at some point in the next few years. Thanks to COVID the show only recently resumed production, so nobody really knows when the new episodes will air. The first half of 2021 is the most likely scenario, but attempting to predict anything in this hellish year is a fool's game.
