Aloy oop.

Fortnite's roster of characters is rapidly expanding to the point where I can scarcely keep track anymore. Batman, Wolverine, Kratos, Master Chief, Lara Croft, and The Mandalorian's Din Djarin are just a few of the pop culture icons who have graced Epic's battle royale in the last year or so.

With a lineup of classic faces so robust, you'd think Epic might want to stop for a little bit and let people take a breather before piling in more IPs. No such luck. According to popular Fortnite dataminer HYPEX, PlayStation star Aloy of Horizon Zero Dawn is headed to the battle royale with her own limited-time mode.

It's not yet known what the skin looks like, how much it'll cost, or when it'll actually be available for players to purchase/unlock, but we're long past the point of being skeptical of any character coming to Fortnite. Round about the time I saw Kratos dab, all bets were off.

As for the limited-time mode? Also unclear, but thanks to another dataminer called ShiinaBR we do have some idea of what to expect. It sounds a lot like it'll have something to do with hunting or fighting robotic animals similar to the beasts Aloy faces in Horizon Zero Dawn, according to the uncovered descriptions.

The mode is currently codenamed 'LeadAlloy LTM', and contains phrases such as "Team Up! Aloy and Lara." The rest of the files seem to confirm that you can use loot from wildlife and technology to upgrade weapons to legendary quality, as well as a hint that warns "you never know what might be lurking in the bushes".

No doubt Epic will announce Aloy soon. Watch this space.
