Harrison Ford and the accompanying cast for Indiana Jones 5 are currently filming the archeology-adventure sequel, which has inevitably led to some set photos leaking. This isn't an unusual occurrence - we've seen set photos from the upcoming Game of Thrones series House of the Dragon, we got them for season two of The Witcher, and even more recently we saw a touch of Ewan McGregor's outfit for the Obi-Wan Kenobi series. With these new photos, however, fans are now speculating on potential plot points as it looks like Harrison Ford is going to be de-aged for at least part of the performance.
These set photos have appeared on the Twitter account FordSource (and spotted by GameRant) and show the actor in his full Indiana gear, with an unusual feature. This face is covered with little dots, which is usually a sign that visual effects are going to be implemented later in production. So either there's going to be something drastically different about Ford's face in the scene that these photos have been taken from, or there is going to be a de-ageing portion of the movie.
In case you missed it, there is an Indiana Jones game in the works at Bethesda. Here's the teaser...
GameRant also notes that the outfit Ford is wearing would translate to about 1930s-40s America, which is when the original films took place. This seems that at least in part, Harrison is going to look like a younger man during the film.

As technology has advanced, we've seen de-ageing and even entire reconstructions of people who are no longer with us. We saw a young Leia and Luke briefly in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker while in Captain Marvel Samuel L Jackson was de-aged for the majority of the film. It's an impressive technique to allow filmmakers more freedom with the stories they want to tell and shots they want to film. However, others think it is strange, or the changes to faces and reconstructions of actors can be disrespectful or just ineffective.
We'll have to wait for Indiana Jones 5 to release to find out more about how all this mystery plays out.
