Jurassic Park Alan Grant Figure Has Removable Head And Oh No

Growing up nerdy, we get used to seeing collectable figures of our favourite game and movie characters everywhere, all the time. So much so, it's honestly really easy to forget how bizarre it must be as an actor to see figures made in your own image - especially when said figures are purposely made to be easily decapitated.

So, it's not surprising that Jurassic Park star Sam Neill has expressed his alarm at an upcoming collectable figure of his character Alan Grant, which, as well as having some seriously judging eyes that will stare into your soul, also comes with an extra head and pair of hands, which is both incredibly amusing and slightly disturbing.

One place you'll absolutely not want to lose your head is on the brand new Velocicoaster at Universal's Orlando Resort. The trailer makes it look unbelievably epic, so take a look here:

"Got sent alarming pic of model Alan Grant with REMOVABLE head and hands ! ( And generous cricket protector ) . Is this for would be young murderers to play with ? Regardless - could the manufacturer send some, my kids want them?! Only slightly worried." the actor wrote on his Twitter page.

Of course, the actual reason for this, as any figurine collector will know, is so that you can change Dr. Grant's facial expression for displaying in different poses, but where's the fun in that?! With a bottle of ketchup, you could also use his spare limbs to create some very dramatic scenes with inspiration straight from the Jurassic Park universe. Or, if you really want to put people off from ever entering your room, you could choose to display only his separated head on a little stand. You know, like a normal person.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who's considered those options, either, so perhaps we should be slightly worried for Sam Neill's safety considering his kids want to own one of these figures themselves. What's more, Jurassic Park's production company, Amblin, decided to get in on the action, and tagged Mattel in the thread on Twitter to directly ask them to send the actor some figures, so we may well be seeing an update on that sometime soon.
