Everyone, everyone places, right now. It's happening. Oh my gosh, it's happening. Or at least we think it's happening. According to a report from Small Screen, Liam Neeson has signed up to take on the role of Qui-Gon Jinn once again in the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series.

According to a new report, it has been confirmed by someone with inside knowledge of Lucasfilm that Liam Neeson has signed up to play Qui-Gon Jinn in the Obi-Wan series that's going to be coming to Disney Plus. The series is currently being filmed and with the rapidly expanding universe of Star Wars film and TV that Disney have going on, it really wouldn't surprise us if we saw Neeson once again.

It might be a controversial opinion, but Liam Neeson's character might have just been the best part of the prequel trilogy. I know for the sake of character development it was important for him to lose the battle with Darth Maul, but can I just say, him meditating as they waited for the light gate to reopen was just *chefs kiss*. Perhaps one of the best moments of the entire Star Wars franchise even if it's in one of the worst films.

It should also be noted that we've seen, or at least heard, Neeson reprising Qui-Gon Jinn's role more recently than you might think. In the latest Star Wars film, The Rise of Skywalker, you can hear Qui-Gon's voice talking to Rey with other past Jedi as she fights the final battle of the trilogy. Neeson returned then to add his voice to the film so it wouldn't be a shock if he came back as a force ghost or as a flashback in the upcoming series.

By no means is this an official promise that Neeson is coming back though. As the source is anonymous, it really could be just a rumour with no substance to it, but we're just excited to see the new Obi-Wan series, no matter what.
