Is that sleigh bells I hear? Ubisoft and Father Christmas have come to 'Rainbow Six'

Did you know that Father Christmas doesn't just visit every good boy and girl on the planet, but he also visits virtual worlds and spreads merry cheer there, too? Of course, a lot of virtual worlds are pretty dangerous places. It's why his sleigh is kevlar paneled and he carries a 12-gauge shotgun under his robe. Plus, all of the reindeer are fitted with a high-explosive device that will automatically go off if they get too far from the sleigh. It might sound extreme, but, because of those precautions, Saint Nick is able to visit Rainbow Six Siege and give us free operators, so keep that in mind when you're reporting him to the RSPCA for cruel treatment of animals.

But, yes, Father Christmas, in conjunction with Ubisoft is giving every Rainbow Six Siege player a free loot box. Not just any loot box, but a Holiday 2019 themed loot box. The pack contains a free operator and, according to some reports, a festive elf helper-themed skin for your characters.

In a post on the Rainbow Six Siege subreddit, the moderators say that the packs are being given to every player, so long as you log in between now and January 5. The operators contained in the pack won't come from the base game, but instead are exclusively from years 1 - 4. That's great as all those operators are on the pricier end of the spectrum.

The Christmas-themed skin you can dress your characters in really is a kind of hideous beauty, one that I can't help but admire. If I could get myself something that obnoxiously festive I think I'd have to wear it all year round. It shouldn't be restricted to just the festive period. I'd be depriving the world of something, if I only wore it around Christmas time.
