'Daredevil: Woman Without Fear' Reboot Announced By Marvel

Daredevil: Woman Without Fear is the latest development into Elektra Natchios' story in her efforts to uncover the sinister ambitions that Kingpin has in store for New York City.

Continuing Devil's Reign, the "classic-style Marvel Comics crossover event" that assembles a number of heroes in the Big Apple to stop Wilson Fisk in his tracks, the series shows that Elektra's true weakness has been discovered by the villain and he intends to tell the world. Her commitment to never take a life will be tested as she tries to stay one step ahead of Kingpin and preserve the fragile peace in the city.

"When I read the story of this event, I was speechless," said artist Marco Checchetto of Devil's Reign. As well as Elektra, fans will look forward to seeing Iron Man, Captain America, Spider-Man, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and more putting their skills to the test to thwart Kingpin's plans to take over the city.

With Daredevil writer Chip Zdarsky and artist Rafael de Latorre, the reboot will span three issues and set off the next "pulse-pounding" events in the overarching crossover. Moreover, the team explained that their ideas for how Elektra would tackle one of the greatest challenges in her vigilante career simply spilled off the page.

"When we were planning out Devil's Reign it became apparent early on that Elektra's story is too big to be contained in the main series," said Zdarsky in a statement to ComicBook.com. "Wilson Fisk has unearthed her darkest secret and I'm super excited for readers to see the fallout in this series!"

The series kicks off in January, featuring de Latorre's expressive work to deliver "well-orchestrated storytelling" with unparalleled aesthetics to take the heroine's experiences to the next level.
