Marvel has dropped the first trailer for the upcoming Hawkeye Disney Plus series, and it's... much more festive than we were expecting.
Hawkeye will once again star Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton as he attempts to return to a normal family life following the five years he spent travelling the world and murdering criminals as Ronin. Doubtless it won't be as easy as all that, with many of the things Barton did in that time catching up with him.

"This holiday season, the best gifts come with a bow," Disney teased on social media. Hawkeye arrives on the Disney Plus streaming service November 24, and will air in six weekly instalments - which should take us right up to Christmas!

It appears Hawkeye will also see a passing of the torch from Renner's Barton to Kate Bishop, played here by Hailee Steinfeld (Bumblebee). Bishop is a 22-year-old archer and big fan of Hawkeye's work who wants to follow in the Avenger's footsteps. One has to wonder how that'll work out when she finds out the kind of things he got up after Thanos' snap, but I expect that'll all be part of the drama as he trains up his young protégé.
The series will also see Florence Pugh return as former Widow Yelena Belova. We last picked up with Belova during the post-credits scene of Black Widow, when the mysterious Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine handed her a photo of Barton and told her it was time to go after the man who murdered Natasha. How's that going to work out? You'll have to buy Disney Plus subscription to find out, I guess.
