Ladies and gents, friends and enemies, we've just got our first look at Marvel's Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. The upcoming Marvel film has just given us a taste of what's in store for more of Phase Four of the MCU.

2020 was really, extraordinarily quiet for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Due to the pandemic and closures to cinemas, films like Black Widow were delayed and the future release dates of films like Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings were unknown. With the reveal of this action-packed trailer we now know the film will be coming to cinemas on September 3, 2021.

The trailer is stunning - Marvel have a knack of getting us totally invested in its films from the second we see a teaser, and Shang-Chi is no different. The plot that has been revealed in the trailer so far sees Shangi-Chi living a completely ordinary life for ten years before being dragged back into the organisation of the Ten Rings by his father.

Shang-Chi, who is played by actor Simu Liu, is a legendary fighter - so expect a lot of hand-to-hand combat in this one, and the trailer shows some incredible acrobatics from him and the cast. Literally, gravity-defying moves are pulled off and it looks gorgeous. However, there is one moment near the end of the trailer where a girl almost falls out of a bus, and I thought we were going to get very Final Destination for a second.

Simu Liu will be joined by other big names like Awkwafina (Raya and the Last Dragon), Tony Leung (Monster Hunt 2), and Fala Chen (The Undoing) and who knows what other Marvel names will pop in to say hello. Come o,n it's an MCU film, it would be weird if there wasn't a cameo from the Winter Soldier or Doctor Strange or someone. In any case, we're looking forward to seeing the full film in September this year.
