Minecraft YouTuber Bashurverse and Twitch streamer Toasty has passed away. The content creator was known for his Minecraft scripted series 'The Legend of Hobo' before becoming close to many of the biggest Minecraft streamers of the time like SkyDoesMinecraft or CaptainSparklez.
As Dexerto reports, Brandon 'Bashurverse' Ashur passed away from complications with COVID-19. The YouTuber and streamer was admitted to hospital on August 14, 2021, and had an extended fight with the virus before developing pneumonia and passing away on September 13. He was 36 years old.

His sister Anesa confirmed the news of his passing on Facebook, saying: "My brother fought COVID, and unfortunately lost the battle. I cannot believe this is happening... He was amazing. He is amazing.
"There are so many things I could say, but I don't think I could even put our lives into words if I wanted to. Why is this beast so terrible? Why did it have to get you? You have faced so many challenges in your 36 years, never would I imagine we would lose you to a pandemic."
Bashurverse's legacy is a complex one. Though it was never proven or confirmed, he had allegations of being inappropriately involved with minors which were spread across YouTube by others, including Drama Alert's Keemstar. This led to Brandon losing a lot of fans, gaining a lot of hate, and although even now there isn't a clear cut answer to what actually happened, he ended up leaving the public eye for years to come.
Eventually, Brandon came back with the intention of making content for people to enjoy once again under the name Toasty at the end of 2019.
