Infinity Ward and Activision have detailed what we can expect to see as part of the latest update for Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call Of Duty: Warzone. A new operator, a handful of new playlist modes, and the usual raft of cosmetic content should all be going live later today/early tomorrow morning depending on where you live.

Demolition, which was first announced a few weeks back, is now live in Modern Warfare. This fan-favourite mode has appeared in a few Call Of Duty games now, including Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops. In this intense new (old) mode, your team will either have to plant or defuse a bomb, with the enemy team obviously devoted to doing whichever task you haven't been given.

Unlike Search & Destroy, Demolition gives players the chance to respawn, and defusing the bomb doesn't end the round. This means there's plenty of scope for fun and chaos as you work to complete the objectives. Activision confirmed that Hackney Yard, Rust, and Shoot House will all be available maps for Demolition.

3v3 Gunfight Knives Only is also now playable on all platforms. As the name implies, you can only use knives in this fast-paced close-quarters mode. Sounds pretty barbaric to be honest, but I'm here for it.

As always, Modern Warfare will also be getting a playlist update. Shoot The Ship 24/7 moshpit will become Shoot The Rusty Ship 24/7. Here, players will be able to duke it out across Rust, Shipment, and Shoothouse via a number of intimate deathmatch and objective-based modes.

There was no news regarding playlist updates for Warzone, so I guess don't expect any major new addittions to the battle royale this week. With that said, Activision did detail two new cosmetic bundles that'll be available in Modern Warfare and Warzone, one of which contains a brand-new operator.

"Iskra, an Urzikstani native, returns to Verdansk with the Chimera Faction to stop the growing Al-Qatala threat," Activision wrote of the new fighter. "Available in a Store bundle, get Iskra alongside two new Legendary weapons that seamlessly provide a lethal loadout for Warzone and Multiplayer. Iskra's bundle also includes the 'Savagery' helicopter vehicle skin, an Epic Finishing Move, and more for a total of ten items befitting a Tier One Operator."

We're still waiting for the full patch notes from developer Infinity Ward, which should confirm the size of the update - as well as any bug fixes and general tweaks that may have been implemented.
