If you'll be travelling somewhere up north in the next few weeks, then you might have the opportunity to star in the next Indiana Jones movie which has been filming in Glasgow, Scotland.

As per this report from The Scottish Sun, producers on the movie are seeking local actors and aspirants to work on a number of scenes in the upcoming movie. Last week, the crew transformed St Vincent Street into a colourful and patriotic parade celebrating the Apollo 11 mission, following rehearsals at a car park in Govan. The movie will also be using Hope Street, West Nile Street, Wellington Street, the Trongate, Montrose Street, Bothwell Street and Blythswood Street in the coming weeks to film and the list of locations in their entirety with dates has been provided by Glasgow City Council.

So, if you're after a glimpse of the anticipated fifth entry into the classic series of archaeological adventure movies, that's where and when you should head out with your fedora (and sunscreen) in tow. Speaking to The Scottish Sun, an insider claimed that applying to be an extra on Indiana Jones 5 is "a great chance" to rub elbows with the star studded cast. At the moment, Thomas Kretschmann, Boyd Holbrook, Shaunette Renée Wilson, Toby Jones, Antonio Banderas and Mads Mikkelsen are all confirmed to play a part in the story alongside Harrison Ford. "This will be one of the biggest movies of the last few years," they added.

Get the first look at the upcoming Uncharted movie - which has been compared to the Indiana Jones series by actor Mark Wahlberg - right here in Sony's showcase from May.

"I'm very, very excited about it," said Mikkelsen in an interview with Collider, after he was announced to be a part of the cast in April. "I rewatched Raiders of the Lost Ark the other day, it is so well-done and so charming, and it's such great storytelling. So yes it's a great honor to be part of that franchise that I grew up with... I'm in a lucky position where they let me read the script before. And yes, it was everything I wished it to be, so that was just great."

Someone else who adores Indiana Jones as much as Mikkelsen is Bethesda's big cheese Todd Howard. While it was originally thought that he was teasing an Indiana Jones game through a conveniently visible collectible on his shelf, he has that Ark of the Covenant replica because he holds the series in such high regard. "I think I originally pitched [to George] Lucas in 2009, and I've been trying to find a way to make that [since]," he told The Telegraph.

"And I think the work MachineGames have done, they're just phenomenal developers and storytellers. And when I started talking to them about it, it was a good fit. And we got the opportunity to talk to Lucas and Disney about it and they were super excited," he continued. MachineGames is the studio behind the excellent Wolfenstein series of games, so it's no exaggeration to say that the project is in very safe hands.
