'Jingle All The Way' Is Being Made Into A Game For... Some Reason

Players will be competing to grab the last toys on the shelves ahead of Christmas.

Funko Games has announced that Jingle All the Way - the Christmas movie starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sinbad - is getting a tabletop version.

It's a bit odd, isn't it? Released in 1996, Jingle All the Way raked in a whopping $130 million against a budget of $75 million. This makes the film 25 years old in November so this game is seemingly intended for parents who remember the movie and want to introduce it to their ankle-biters. However, it's possible that the premise just wouldn't click with children, as the characters scramble to find the very last Turbo-Man toy in Minneapolis. Why not order online? Check the stock levels across every shop on its website? Have it delivered to the house with a tracked service?

I guess I'm the one missing the point of Jingle All the Way. Kids get slapstick and kids get a silly jet pack scene that puts Schwarzenegger into Turbo-Man's costume and casts Sinbad as the character's arch enemy Dementor. And, the game titled Jingle All the Way: It's Turbo Time! even comes with a replica Turbo-Man figurine in a window box display so we could have a whole new generation of Jingle All the Way fans on our hands.

Recently, we got to chat to Jeff Goldblum about Jurassic World Evolution 2 and who would win in match ups between dinosaurs and iconic gaming characters! Spoiler: he doesn't know who Sonic is.

"Face off as frantic shoppers in the hunt for the most exclusive toy of the holiday season-Turbo Man! But there's only one left, so be ready for mischief in this turbo-charged, trick-taking game!" states the description for the game on Amazon. "Based off the iconic '90s movie, this game has you peeking, at, flipping, shuffling, and swapping tiles to get the best toys. Will you search for toys on the shelf or wait for another player to find the prize before snatching it from their cart? Fill your cart with the best toys to win!"

Pre-orders are available now and Funko Games has a range of other holiday-themed games like Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas, Gremlins, Elf, and the Disney Princesses. It might be a bit of a rogue choice for a tabletop game but it'll be an ideal stocking filler, and it's savvy to get your Christmas shopping sorted ahead of the rush.
