Revealed earlier this year, Hot Wheels Unleashed already looks to be every ten-year-old's dream. Letting players drive their favourite Hot Wheels cars around an array of physics-defying tracks. However, It seems Hot Wheels Unleashed's attempt to provide the ultimate childhood fantasy extends far beyond its own original die-cast toy cars, with its latest trailer confirming what we all wanted to know: Yes, you can drive the Batmobile.

Better yet, you can drive several vehicles from a host of iconic movies and shows, including Back to the Future's time-travelling DeLorean, Knight Rider's K.I.T.T, and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' Party Wagon. You can even drive an amalgamation of Snoopy's doghouse and a sports car... because apparently that's a thing he owns?

Heading over to the Hot Wheels Unleashed website offers closer looks at all the cars mentioned, as well as confirming there will be over 60 vehicles to choose from in total. These include some classic Hot Wheels vehicles, like the RD 02, the Rodger Dodger, and the Skull Crusher. There's also plenty that are after my time. For example, the Buns of Steel, which is literally a giant truck with a colossal burger on the back... can't imagine that's the most effective racing car, to be honest.

You can get a first look at some of Hot Wheels Unleashed's vehicles in the action-packed Diecast trailer, which you can watch here.

For those who missed the game's reveal earlier this year, Hot Wheels Unleashed is launching on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X'S, and Nintendo Switch. It'll be Hot Wheels' first step into the realm of video games since Hot Wheels: World's Best Driver back in 2013 - unless you count the combination of Hot Wheels and Forza Horizon 4 that launched back in February.

Best Driver didn't exactly set the world on fire, so it'll be interesting to see whether Unleashed can make a bigger mark on the video game landscape. The game is slated to drop on September 30th, putting it in the vicinity of a variety of other upcoming racing titles. Forza Horizon 5 is meant to release just over a month later, landing on November 5th, while RIMS Racing launches on August 19th. It could also potentially be facing off with another nostalgia-heavy game in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, which is essentially Super Smash Bros. with classic Nicktoons characters and looks just as fun as that premise sounds.
