Ninja Becomes Playable Character In Free-To-Play Fantasy RPG

If you're the type of person to like watching videos or streams that have any sort of tenuous link to gaming, you probably know of Raid: Shadow Legends. The free-to-play RPG has been advertised high and low across sites like Twitch and YouTube, and content creators of all shapes and sizes have promoted the game. And though it's based in a fantasy realm, one very real and familiar face will be joining the ranks as a playable character.

Tyler 'Ninja' Blevins is getting added to Raid: Shadow Legends, according to PC Gamer. The original report says that the streamer and content creator will be available in-game from Friday, July 16 and the images are, well, quite something.

The streamer will become one of over 500 characters in the game that you can have in your roster. He'll have his signature blue hair, but this time will be... part bird-man? Royal blue feathers and wings erupt from his shoulders and back, while he's carrying an ethereal bow and a ghostly katana. It's a little strange if we're being honest, but fair play to Ninja and Raid: Shadow Legends for surprising us.

Plarium's (the game's makers) vice president of marketing, Noam Sagie, commented on the collaboration: "Ninja isn't just an amazing addition to our Champions because of his positive impact to the gaming industry - he has his own unique skill sets and special attacks that will be an incredible asset to any player's roster. Ninja will bring his fans along for the ride as he explores Raid with his new character across a series of exciting livestreams."

You may already know that this isn't the first time that Ninja has made an appearance in a game. He was famously the first gaming influencer to be put into hit battle royale Fortnite. A very limited number of influencers and musicians have been invited to become part of the Icon Series in Epic's game - Loserfruit, LazarBeam, Lachlan, and TheGrefg all followed in Ninja's footsteps.

So now Ninja is part of Raid: Shadow Legends, maybe he'll be turning up in yet another game before we know it.
