Pokémon fans rejoice: A 1.5m tall Dragonite plushie has just been announced, and it's expected to release in 2021!
One of the original 151 Pokémon, Dragonite really does have it all. A powerful dragon-type, it was easily one of the strongest - and hardest to obtain - monsters from the original games. It was also utterly adorable. I will forever remember it from the animated series, because it flew around the world delivering mail to people, and it had a little shoulder bag AND I LOVE DRAGONITE, OKAY? I WANT THIS PLUSHIE SO BADLY.
Sorry, I got a little excited there. While Dragonite has appeared in plenty of Pokémon merch over the years, this new plushie is easily the largest one dedicated to the dragon yet. As reported by Ryan Brown - AKA Toadsanime - on Twitter, the Bandai P store has confirmed the 1.5m plushie is currently being made in Thailand and will drop next year. This is the same store that recently announced those glorious Metapod sleeping bags, so clearly Bandai P know what the people want.

There's no word on pricing yet, but I can't imagine that this particular Dragonite will come cheap. I also know there is no price I wouldn't pay to ensure I can feel the soft embrace of my large orange son, so that's cool. I can wait for official pricing to come through, and will update you guys as soon as we know more.
As you've probably gathered, Dragonite happens to be my personal favourite Pokémon of all time, so I'm going to start sharing this news with everyone I know in the hopes that they take the hint and buy me one. Someone please buy me one.
