Russian athlete and Olympic gold winner Vitalina Batsarashkina has returned home to a hero's welcome - or rather, a Witcher's welcome.
Batsarashkina made headlines last week for her impressive wins at the women's 10m air pistol and 25m pistol categories during the Tokyo games. She swept up gold at both, and also managed silver when competing in the 10m air pistol mixed teams. An undeniably impressive haul, and one she's no doubt incredibly proud of.

But while her wins were newsworthy in and of themselves, the 24-year-old athlete also won over hearts around the world for the simple fact that she's clearly a huge fan of The Witcher series. Batsarashkina was spotted competing while wearing the medallion from the School of the Wolf - the same medallion Geralt of Rivia wears. I don't know if it's possible to be much cooler than a Witcher super-fan that wins gold medals in shooting
Taking note of her passion for Andrzej Sapkowski's fantasy series (and, we assume, the CD Projekt RED games) Batsarashkina's fans decided to ensure she arrived back home to a little surprise. Upon returning from Tokyo, the athlete was treated to a rousing rendition of Jaskier's 'Toss A Coin To Your Witcher', the song made famous by Netflix's The Witcher.

Is there a better way for a Witcher fan to be welcomed home? I mean, outside of CD Projekt RED surprising you with an exclusive first-look at The Witcher 4 and an intimate evening in with Henry Cavill, I'm not sure there is.
