We're not crying, you are!

I'm not sure there is anything better in the world than seeing someone delighted with a gift they've just received. Seeing someone genuinely excited about a present is just so bloomin' wholesome. Combo that with an obviously loving family, a giggling daughter, and a new PlayStation 5 and you might just have a perfect clip.

So if you want your heart to explode (in a metaphorical manner, this isn't DOOM I assure you) you should watch this clip of a family giving a dad a PlayStation 5. Reddit user, Thumd3rbolt posted the video to the MadeMeSmile subreddit and it has gained thousands of upvotes and hundreds of awards.

We wouldn't be surprised if the first thing the dad played on the new PS5 is Astro's Playground, Sony's showcase of all the features of the console. And it has some fantastic Easter eggs in it...

Obviously, the PS5 is rather hard to get your hands on at the moment, and that's without mentioning that it's not a cheap bit of tech. Buying Sony's newest console is no joke and so it's understandable that anyone would be excited getting their hands on one.

This family, however, went above and beyond to make this experience as wonderful as possible. It's obvious that they've set up some sort of treasure hunt to find the console and the dad wanders around the house with the daughter delighted to see him taking part in the challenge. And eventually, he gets to the point where he finds his prize and, well, watch the video below to see what happens.

I'm not crying, you're crying. The way the father picks up his kid after having his moment of excitement is adorable. That might be your fill of wholesome content for the day but if you're looking for more, how about this post of a young woman receiving a pristine Game Cube because her grandparents thought it was the latest console?
