It's been a crappy decade so far, kids, and that means it's never been more important to just be kind to one another. Help your friends and neighbours out if you can, and if you need a little assistance yourself? Reach out! You might be surprised to learn how many people are ready to help you right back. Humans can actually be pretty damn great from time to time.

Take Reddit user Ok_Strawberry7683 - I assume this is not the name they received at birth, but I kind of hope it is. Strawberry recently shared a heartwarming story about what they did for their neighbour, a single mum with two kids who, like many of us in the middle of this pandemic, is in a not so great financial situation right now.

Strawberry explained that this mum can't really afford a console at the moment... which is of course less than ideal when you need to keep two kids (six and 15) entertained at a time where most places are closed and staying indoors is encouraged. With limited options at her disposal, she asked Strawberry if they had anything she might be able to buy for cheap, most likely assuming she'd be able to get her hands on a battered old PlayStation 3 or something.

Strawberry did her one better and sold her an old TV, two PlayStation 4 Slims, three controllers, a headset, and a ton of great games - all for just $25. What a truly fantastic gesture, and a move that's bound to absolutely delight those kids.

The games in the collection included some proper hits too: The Last of Us Remastered, Red Dead Redemption 2, GTA V, Assassin's Creed Valhalla and more. Okay, so the six-year-old might need to stay away from a lot of these for the time being, but there are still games like Minecraft and The Sims 4 in the mix that will doubtless keep the younger of the two kids happy. Plus they can always sneak on GTA V when nobody is looking. We've all done it.
