Why toast when you can ghost?

Ghost Of Tsushima 2 is definitely happening, right? We know it. Sony knows it. You know it. While neither Sony nor developer Sucker Punch has yet outright confirm that a sequel to 2020's PlayStation 4 adventure is happening, there have been more than enough leaked job listings that point to its existence. Beyond that, the first game sold a crap-ton.

But if job listings, sales, and critical acclaim aren't enough to convince you that Ghost Of Tsushima 2 is on the way, how about a LinkedIn update from Sucker Punch's cinematic creative director Dave Molloy? As spotted over on Reddit during the weekend, Molloy's profile read "presently working on the Ghost Of Tsushima game for Sony PS5'.

Interestingly, his profile has since been updated to change PS5 to "PlayStation". This change could mean any number of things, but the most likely explanation is that Sony and Sucker Punch don't want to jump the gun on giving away details for the sequel, especially during what I assume is still the early stages of development. There's also a chance that like Horizon Forbidden West and Spider-Man Miles Morales, Ghost Of Tsushima 2 will be a cross-gen title. Finally, it could simply be that Molloy is working on next-gen updates for the current Ghost Of Tsushima.

While we're no clearer on when we might see this sequel, it's exciting to consider how work on it could now really be gearing up. At the time of writing, there's still an open position at Sucker Punch for a combat designer, and the details for the role specifically refer the world of Ghost Of Tsushima.

The potential applicant is required to have three or more years of design experience, and must "understand [the] core combat systems" of Ghost of Tsushima. Additionally, they will require a "contemporary knowledge of modern combat design," as well as "experience working on melee combat systems" and "experience working on progression and investment systems."

I mean, logically speaking, Sucker Punch's next project is either Ghost Of Tsushima 2 or Infamous 3... and it's almost definitely not Infamous 3.
