The developer describes the title as a "hardcore World War II first person shooter with epic battles of 100 players with infantry, tanks, artillery, a dynamically shifting front line and a unique resource based RTS-inspired meta-game."

The developers have now announced that the game's first official new-gen closed beta will be taking place exclusively on PS5. It'll kick off on August 26, and end August 31. Obviously you'll need a new-gen PlayStation participate and entry isn't guaranteed, but if you're interested you can sign up right here for a chance to attend.

Hell Let Loose has been available on PC via Steam for a while now, and already has a huge community of dedicated fans. There's a big focus on teamwork in the game, as two teams of 50 get stuck into brutal battles across massive maps. Each player has their own unique role to play as part of a Platoon, and even works under the leadership of Officers and force Commander. Basically, if Call Of Duty has gotten a little too fantastical for you, Hell Let Loose could be the experience you're craving.

Official details on exactly how Hell Let Loose will take advantage of next-gen hardware have yet to be fully revealed, but no doubt the shooter will make full use of the DualSense controller's adaptive triggers for complete immersion on the battlefield. There's no word yet on an Xbox Series X/S beta either, but we'll be sure to update you with information on that as and when we get it. For now, just sit tight if you don't have a PlayStation 5.
