It might be a little premature to be enthusiastic about a game we know nothing about yet, but I'm excited. The team behind the PlayStation success Horizon Zero Dawn and the upcoming sequel Horizon Forbidden West is already working on another game. Or at least it looks like one of the game directors at Guerilla Games is hinting that there is another secret project on the way.
Wccftech spotted that on Simon Larouche's LinkedIn profile, the game director who works at Guerilla Games has hinted that he's working on something else, other than Horizon Forbidden West. The career profile says that he has been working on an "unannounced title - TBA" and that he's the game director on said project. Whatever it is has been in the works since 2018, and as a final teasing line he says "Secret game is secret!"
In case you've missed our first look at the gameplay for Horizon Forbidden West, here it is...
How very curious. If it was Horizon Forbidden West, Larouche surely would have said so by now, so it's something else that he is directing but no one knows what it could be. Historically, PlayStation exclusives have sometimes had secondary games to accompany the main event. Think about the original The Last of Us and then the subsequent The Last of Us: Left Behind or Uncharted 4 and then Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. Even Marvel's Spider-Man was followed up with Miles Morales so perhaps Guerilla's secret project is one of these types of games.
Not a main game in that it won't be a massive RPG, but instead, a self-contained story separate from the original. Or, it could be something else entirely, a new IP even. It'll be exciting to see whatever this is in the future though, as early looks at Horizon Forbidden West have been stunning. Forbidden West is set to release later this year.
