Horizon Zero Dawn, one of the biggest titles to ever grace the PlayStation systems, is free from today and tomorrow to download on PlayStation 4 and 5. Depending on where your system is, you can begin to claim the hugely popular RPG from either April 19 or 20 and the offer will end in mid-May.
If you're not familiar with Horizon Zero Dawn, it's an action RPG set in a strange dystopian future. You play Aloy, an incredible hunter and general badass who is trying to hunt for the truth of what happened to the planet to make it end up infested with mechanical beasts, while forcing humanity to essentially devolve to scattered, warring factions.
You'll make discoveries while battling incredible machines, meet mysterious characters, and explore beautiful environments along the way - it's really a great adventure if you haven't tried it out already. That's why everyone is so hyped for the sequel Horizon Forbidden West, which will be coming to PlayStations perhaps by the end of this year.
Downloading the free game on your PlayStations will also get you the DLC for Horizon Zero Dawn, Frozen Wilds which comes with new weapons and outfits. The bundle also includes a digital artbook and a PlayStation 4 theme for your enjoyment.
This release is just part of PlayStation's Play At Home push, where the company is offering free games to anyone with the console to help provide entertainment to those stuck indoors. And yes, it's free for everyone, not just those with PlayStation Plus.
According to VGC you can claim the game from April 19 at 8:00 pm PT and then April 20 04:00 am BST / 05:00 am CEST. The promotion will allow you to take advantage of the offer until May 14 and 15, again depending on your location. I'd advise you just claim the game now so you don't forget and regret not getting it down the line.
