Kratos Roasting Franklin Is The GTA/God Of War Crossover I've Been Waiting For

Kratos Roasting Franklin Is The GTA/God Of War Crossover I've Been Waiting For

2018's God Of War was a revelation, reshaping the formerly one-note Kratos into a conflicted and tragic figure coming to terms with the sins of his past. We see the Ghost of Sparta as a struggling father and reluctant teacher, doing his best to prepare his son Atreus for a cruel and unforgiving world in which neither of them truly belongs.

By the end of God Of War, however, Kratos has come to terms with his new role. I like to think it's this Kratos we see in the below video from Slick Goku, in which our hero travels all the way to Los Santos to deliver GTA V's Franklin a much-needed roasting.

What more can I say about, really? Check it out below, or via this link.

This is, of course, the latest in a long line of memes inspired by the iconic GTA V scene in which Lamar delivers Franklin an absolute dressing down.

Lamar roasting Franklin, which was always an incredibly popular meme in its own right, recently started blowing up online in a big way thanks to a series of videos in which modders and fans introduced all manner of bizarre new variants to the scene. There's one version where nobody roasts nobody. In another, Lamar has been replaced by Kermit The Frog. It's all pretty odd, and it only seems to be getting odder with each passing take on the scene.

There's even one where Lamar actor Slink Johnson and Franklin actor Shawn Fonteno reunite and perform the scene IRL, which might just be the best one. This Kratos one comes pretty damn close though, I have to say.

To be completely honest, seeing Kratos take down Franklin with such brutality is enough to make me want to see the Ghost Of Sparta as the official protagonist of GTA VI. Screw the rumours of Vice City, let Rockstar Games and Sony team up to give us a game in which Kratos tears it up around Los Santos with Franklin. If he can show up in Fortnite, anything is possible.
