Bloober Team is a very busy bee.

Horror buffs/busybodies have stumbled upon two new titles from a studio who is now working alongside Konami, and from the descriptions alone, they're two games that you'll want to keep on your radar.

If you go to the Creative Europe website - an arm of the European Commission's support for creative media produced and developed within the European Union - you're able to find unannounced titles that have gotten a financial boost from the organisation from companies in these countries. It's quite a sneaky way of sniffing out new games before the studio is ready to reveal them, but there are worse ways to spend your time on the Internet.

So, these two projects are in the works with Bloober Team - the same studio that recently revealed its collaboration with Konami. Naturally, we are assuming the names of these projects are actually codenames, as Layers Of Fear 2 received funding from Creative Europe and is referred to as "H2O," presumably tying into the fact that the majority of that game takes place at sea.

Check out the trailer for Luto, a new horror on its way to PlayStation and PC which definitely draws from one of Konami's most notorious games.

Creative Europe has an entry for something called "Black," and of the two, this is the one that I'm more interested in. It's set some time in the Middle Ages and is a survival horror game that allows the protagonist to "engage in visceral hand-to-hand, or melee, combat." Black will encourage the player to strategise when they come into contact with the enemies, offering them evasion, distraction or combat opportunities. They will also be asked to decide on difficult moral quandaries through a narrative-heavy experience exploring "the dark aspects of faith and humanity with the alien lifeform as catalyst for character development." Oh, yes, there are aliens in this one.

The other is "Dum Spiro", and is inspired by the Latin phrase "dum spiro, spero" meaning "while I breathe, I hope." Bloober Team fans are theorising that this one might be a spiritual sequel to The Medium, as the game uses a "fifth wall" mechanic to let the player view the history that is playing out in front of their eyes as a spectator. Dum Spiro puts players in the shoes of a little boy who is imprisoned in the Litzmannstadt Ghetto from 1941 to 1944, searching for his sister. The story is split into three segments and at the end of each one, the player chooses which episode to play next.

Black and Dum Spiro received €150,000 in investment from Creative Europe, and Black looks like it has only recently made progress on its development. Alternatively, Dum Spiro was brought to its attention in 2015. We'll keep you in the loop as and when we learn more.
