As promised earlier this month, Sony has greatly expanded its Play At Home scheme to include no less than nine free games. This impressive bundle of freebies can be added to your library and downloaded for the low cost of nothing at all from right now until April 22.

To be clear, all you need to access these games is a PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5 console. A PlayStation Plus subscription is not required. There's been some grumbling and moaning about the free games offered... but anyone complaining about completely free games is a complete and utter tit, and we'll pay them no mind.

So which nine games can you get your hands on? Hold on tight, it's a heck of an offering. If you head to the PlayStation Store right now, you can claim any of the following: Abzu, The Witness, Enter the Gungeon, Subnautica, Rez Infinite, Moss, Astro Bot: Rescue Mission, Paper Beast, and Thumper.

I can't stress enough how good some of these games are. I haven't played all of them, but there are some serious all-timers in the mix here. Abzu is a chill AF underwater adventure that's kind of in the style of Journey, that's well worth checking out. Subnautica is the complete opposite, but if you're after a super stressful survival experience that forces you to dive deeper and deeper into a terrifying alien ocean, then it's worth a look. I'm deathly afraid of the ocean, personally, so it's not really one for me.

If for some reason you're staring at this list of nine great games and are still unimpressed, just know that Horizon Zero Dawn will also be joining the lineup in a few weeks. The AAA open-world adventure will be added to Play At Home on April 19, and you'll have until May 14 to claim it. Happy? You better be.
