It's no secret that the PlayStation 5 is an unwieldy and often confusing behemoth of a console. It's hefty size and strange shape can prove disorienting, to the point that it can be a little tricky to know exactly how to display it.
This is something Sony itself seems to have admitted in one its most recent PlayStation 5 adverts, as the new-gen console can be seen lying upside-down. Oops.
Before we move on, take a look at some of our favourite PlayStation Easter eggs in the delightful Astro's Playroom below!
The offending advert featured a gamer ending his hard day with some well-earned God Of War. A fine choice, and one I commend - although it's hard to get past the fact this guy decided to lie his shiny new console the wrong way round. Fans were quick to point out the mistake, as fans are wont to do, and Sony deleted the post without a word. You can bet someone got a bollocking for this one.
Okay, so you could argue that Sony can do what it wants with the PlayStation 5 since it made the damn console in the first place, but all other marketing for it has been pretty clear about the fact that the disc drive goes at the bottom. Sony has yet to officially respond to this mistake, and is probably hoping we'll just all move on and forget pretty soon - which I'm sure we will, to be fair.
