PlayStation users are once again deeply divided over the latest PlayStation Plus lineup. From May 4, PlayStation 4 owners with a subscription to the online service will be able to download Battlefield V and Stranded Deep. PlayStation 5 users, meanwhile, will get access to these titles, plus a next-gen upgrade of 2014's Wreckfest.
Most would agree that it's been a pretty solid run for PlayStation Plus over the last several months. Sony has combined AAA bangers like Control and Final Fantasy VII Remake with all-new releases like Oddworld: Soulstorm and Maquette.
There's typically been a little something for everything, but a number of fans feel May's lineup falls short of the previous few offerings. Particular criticism was aimed at the fact both free PS4 games are also available via PlayStation Now. This isn't the first time fans have complained of overlap between the two subscription-based PlayStation services.

Not everyone is miserable about the new lineup, of course. PS5 owners in particularly are excited to try out Wreckfest at 4K 60fps, while Battlefield V fans are looking forward to a big jump in player numbers ahead of the Battlefield 6 reveal next month.
