But only one triple-A game is going to be there, apparently.

PlayStation is finally, finally giving us a State of Play. The gaming company was absent from 2021's E3 which means Sony fans have been waiting for any sort of news on future developments. Now we have finally a State of Play confirmed, but it's not exactly what we expected.

PlayStation tweeted out that that the timing for the State of Play will be Thursday 8 July, 2021 at 2pm PT / 5pm ET / 11pm CEST / 10pm BST. The tweet also very briefly mentions what to expect at the presentation so fans aren't going to be majorly disappointed if they are waiting for certain reveals.

Here is some gameplay for upcoming FPS Deathloop...

Deathloop, Arkane's next project, is going to be the main focus of this State of Play. The time-bending shooter will get a deep dive so we get a better understanding of the abilities and world we'll experience as Colt and his arch-enemy Julianna. Guerilla Games presented one of these deep dives on Horizon Forbidden West a little before E3, so we're expecting a similar look at Deathloop.

Additionally, the presentation is going to focus in on indie projects that will be coming to PlayStation platforms in the future. None are mentioned by name but it will likely include a few ports and new titles to look forward to.

However, it's safe to assume some audiences aren't going to be happy with this announcement. Some will have been expecting the first look at God of War 2: Ragnarok or maybe a new triple-A title to look forward to. Sony might just be taking its time in revealing its cards and letting us know when projects are truly ready to see and play.
