PlayStation Plus subscribers can grab September 2021's free games right now, and it's a pretty good month!
PlayStation 4 owners can get their hands on the multiplayer shooter Predator: Hunting Grounds, and the excellent sandbox murder sim Hitman 2. Meanwhile, those of you with a PlayStation 5 can download both PS4 freebies, plus the excellent Overcooked! All You Can Eat. That's technically two and half games in itself, by the way; it combines the first two Overcooked! titles with a slew of new content.

That's a solid stack of games to be getting on with. But if you're somehow left wanting more? Well, there's a pretty neat little trick exclusive to PlayStation 5 PS Plus subscribers that'll net them an extra little bonus.

As pointed out by Hitman studio IO Interactive on Twitter, it's actually possible for PlayStation 5 owners to play the upgraded Hitman 3 versions of Hitman 2's levels. That means better performance, enhanced visuals, and DualSense support all for the low, low price of nothing.
All you need to do is redeem Hitman 2 via PS Plus just as you would usually, and then download the free Hitman 3 Starter Pack from the PS5 PlayStation Store. After that, you claim the Hitman 3 Access Pass: Hitman 2 Standard via the PS Store. Et voila! Now you can load up the Hitman 3 PS5 Starter Pack and launch the upgraded version of Hitman 2. Not too shabby. Not too shabby at all.
