We've missed you.

When people remember the PlayStation 4 exclusives, a few titles come up instantly. We're talking God of War, The Last of Us, Bloodborne, Marvel's Spider-Man and perhaps even Days Gone. However, it's pretty rare that I hear fans mention the game Infamous Second Son and its follow up game First Light. I personally have a soft spot for the two games and am really excited to hear rumours about the series' revival.

Comicbook.com reported on a tweet from gaming insider Nick 'Shpeshal Nick' Baker, where he lightly suggests that we might be seeing the return of the Infamous series at the PlayStation showcase later this week. Though he does say to take the news with lots of salt. It doesn't seem impossible for another Infamous game to be announced, or at least a teaser being released, showing that Sucker Punch are once again working on the franchise.

Sucker Punch's most recent release is the Director's Cut of Ghost of Tsushima...

You might already know that developer Sucker Punch has been rather busy recently. The team moved away from Infamous to work on the incredibly successful Ghost of Tsushima. The Japanese adventure game captured the hearts of many and as nice as it would be to see Infamous revived, there is very much the possibility that Sucker Punch will instead continue to focus on the Ghost of Tsushima's next evolution.

However, since Second Son came out back in 2014 with First Light, it could be the case that a new Infamous game has been in development for a long time already. We could meet an entirely new protagonist or perhaps we could expect more of a return to its roots with Cole MacGrath.

Until the showcase on Thursday at 9pm BST we're going to have to hold our horses. It's nice imagining the return of a well-established series however it's important we calm down and don't expect too much until we have a trailer or teaser to see for ourselves. We're looking forward to the 9th.
