We might not be able to congregate in large groups or go far on our holidays this summer, but that hasn't stopped our pals at The Pokémon Company releasing a giant inflatable Lapras for your purchasing pleasure.
That's right. We might be missing poolside frolics, but with this new gigantic pool float, who cares? You'll think you're somewhere wet and wild, and that's all that matters, right?
As spotted by Comicbook, the lifesize Lapras float measures an impressive 72.5 inches by 80 inches by 53 inches, and boasts its very own ride-on shell, too. It's currently selling for $50, which is around £40 in our money (not including shipping, sadly, as the store doesn't deliver to the UK).
"Have you ever dreamed of riding on your very own Lapras?" Pokémon teases in the item description. "Now you can, with this amazing inflatable pool float complete with flippers and ride-on shell! It's a fun way to show off your Pokémon Trainer status in style at the pool or beach."
The listing goes on to add that it's "perfect for pretending you're a Water-type Pokémon Trainer", has "multiple points of inflation" (although air pump and other accessories not included), and it supports a robust 441lbs/200kg.
On the subject of impossibly huge Pokémon accessories... is there a Pokémon hole in your life right now - a five-foot Meowth hole, to be precise? Do you dream of spooning each night with a delightfully chonky Pikachu?
I don't know how I can continue this without things getting weird, so I'm just going to get on with it: you can now buy a five-foot-long Meowth plushie. And if that isn't quite enough for you - and if it's not, you won't get asked further awkward questions from me - there's also a gigantic Pikachu plush up for grabs, too.
The Pikachu edition is 32 inches tall and 24 inches wide, weighing in at a staggering 10 pounds. The Meowth is even bigger at 5 foot five inches in length, which means I am now officially shorter than a Pokémon at just five-two. They're not cheap, though - Pikachu costs an eye-watering £332 ($409 USD), while Meowth is a slightly more reasonable £249 ($309 USD) - but in fairness, they're made on-demand and restricted to limited quantities.
