Pokimane Hits Back At Super Gross Message Sent During Stream

In case you needed a reminder that people on the internet are gross little weirdos, look no further than Imane 'Pokimane' Anys' recent return to Twitch streaming after an extended break.

Anys announced earlier this month that she'd be taking some time off streaming for her health, revealing that streaming as much as she does to her 8.2 million followers can get truly exhausting. Understandable, I think.

Unfortunately for Anys, her return was marred by a complete and total creep who slid into the stream's chat to drop a super inappropriate comment. As reported by Dexerto, the streamer accidentally read out a message on stream that left her rightly disgusted and suitably pissed off.

The offending message appeared while Anys was playing through Valorant. Typically streamers - especially female streamers - will be able to filter out gross comments from viewers and completely ignore them, because it's become second nature to them. Is it deeply sad that it's become second nature to these women because it happens so much? Yes. Yes it is.

In this instance, Anys clearly didn't realise what she was reading until it was too late. ""Omg Poki, I have a b***r just watching you," she read out, clearly horrified.

The streamer swiftly clapped back at the strange and off-putting individual who sent the message. "You should get that looked at if you're turned on by someone sitting here playing a video game, fully clothed and making a face because I'm so focused," she said.

Fortunately Anys seemed relatively unphased and was swiftly able to shake it off and continue on with the game, but wouldn't it be grand to live in a world where men can watch women play a video game without being so weird about it? I think that it would.
