Though Silent Hill is one of the most successful gaming horror franchises of all time, there hasn't been a new title for the series in a long time. Silent Hills was in development a long while ago but following the Konami and Hideo Kojima fall out, we've been waiting for any official signs that a new title would be on the way. While we wait though, a Silent Hill inspired horror game, Post Trauma has been announced and it looks capable of filling the horror hole in our hearts.

Very few details are known about Post Trauma so far, but whoever is developing it has already mentioned their Silent Hill inspiration. On Twitter, the developer properly announced the active development of Post Trauma by telling us that they quit their job to work solely on their project.

The latest appearance of Silent Hill has only been in other horror projects such as Dead by Daylight...

They say: "Hello Twitter, Last month I quit my job to work on Post Trauma, a Silent Hill 4 inspired horror game with fixed camera angles and some sections in first-person. A demo will be coming out soon, every RT is very welcome and helps me to reach more people. Thank you!"

Along with the tweet came some screenshots of the project which are already incredibly creepy. They have an eerieness to them that we're enticed by and it seems that a lot of people are looking forward to seeing the demo. Thousands of people have liked the retweeted the announcement and replies to the tweet are filled with people offering to work on the project if the developer needs a hand.

We're intrigued by the promise of a demo, so we can really see how close to a Silent Hill title this project is. Though fans might be desperate for another entry into the series, it might not be too long before that comes to a reality with the official Bloober Team and Konami partnership that was revealed last month.
