... Brendan Fraser, is that you?

This Red Dead Redemption player has used artificial intelligence to recreate the likeness of Arthur Morgan, and you know what, he's a good looking guy when you wipe away the grime of the Wild West.

While other characters in the game are clear references to historical figures like Nikola Tesla, Beatrix Potter, and Paul Gauguin, Arthur Morgan is an amalgam of lots of different influences, primarily characters played by actor Toshiro Mifune. However, his fate is inspired by a real gunslinger from the American Frontier.

Doc Holliday allied with Wyatt Earp to hunt down the rest of the gang that seriously wounded and killed the latter's brothers. As a result, Holliday became an outlaw but managed to evade the authorities, only to pass away from tuberculosis a few years after that shootout. While the immersive world of Red Dead Redemption 2 is impressive, realistic artwork like this one of Arthur only serves to hammer home the human stories in this tragic epic.

That being said, it's also a great game for generalised hilarity. Check out our compilation of wins and fails from Red Dead Redemption 2 right here!

Adding screenshots of Arthur for the algorithm to crunch, Reddit user FlemmerVermeul showed off their efforts and this realistic representation of the character is awesome.

If you're thinking that he looks a little green behind the ears, Arthur is actually only in his mid-thirties during the events of Red Dead Redemption 2. I know. It's shocking, but living 24/7 in the middle of nowhere, always on the run, getting into scraps with the law and wildlife will do that to you. If you want a proper surprise, you should see Bill Williamson's date of birth.

Some are saying he looks a little like Cody Ko, others see Michael C. Hall, and a handful are reminded of Brendan Fraser. The actor does own a horse he adopted from the set of Texas Rising which told the story of the Texas Revolution in the mid-19th century. So, he's got the experience and the credits if Rockstar Games ever was angling for an adaptation of the acclaimed game.
