If I'm going to be perfectly honest with you reader, I'm not very good with horror. It's not so much about the blood, guts, or gore - it's the moments where I know something is just around the corner waiting for me. It's the dark in which something hides. It's the quiet moment that lulls you into a false sense of security before sending something in to hunt you down with a machete or something. And the games that have those sorts of moments in abundance are the Resident Evil titles.

Resident Evil has a long history of trapping you with your worst nightmares, so I can understand (but be personally horrified by) this fan project transforming Resident Evil 2 Remake and Resident Evil 3 Remake into VR adventures. Sounds like a lot of fun. And by fun I mean my worst nightmare.

As reported by UploadVR one fan has taken it upon themselves to make the remakes that little more intense by adding a VR mode to them both. Brian Tate on YouTube uploaded a clip of an early look at the project which places you right in the action. praydog is cited as the developer as the project and already, fans are impressed and ready to try it themselves.

Under the YouTube video demoing the mod, Brian Tate says: "A sneak peek at an upcoming Resident Evil 2 remake and 3 Remake VR mod by praydog. The mod features 6DOF VR and full-motion controls! This is still an early WIP build of the mod. You might notice some things like the arms stretching because VRIK hasn't been implemented yet. Already, the mod is in an incredible state though and praydog is making extremely fast work of the port. Can't wait to see what's coming!"

It should be noted that this isn't the first project of its kind that praydog has worked on. They produced mods of Resident Evil 7 and 8 to give those two games VR modes too. Even though I might have a heart attack if I play these games in VR I can still be excited to see others get their hands on them in the future.
