Much like its predecessor, it looks like the remake of Resident Evil 3 will be getting a demo ahead of its full release, as developer Capcom confirmed today via a tweet.

Players will be able to take to the streets of Raccoon City ahead of the game's official release date of April 3rd, though it's not clear if this will be a 1-shot demo like 2019's Resident Evil 2 had, or something a little different.

In the RE2 1-shot, fans had the opportunity to download and play the demo for 30 minutes which, once expired, would be their lot until the game was released two weeks later. If the RE3 demo is following suit, then we should expect it on around the 20th March, with the full release coming on April 3rd. Pure speculation at this point of course, you understand.

In other Resident Evil 3 news, we had the opportunity to get hands-on with the game at a behind-closed-doors event in London recently, and it's safe to say we loved it. Why not go ahead and check out our impressions below?

The overall feel of the game seems to be much more fast-paced with a much bigger emphasis on speed of movement than before. Jill has a few dodges she can utilise to get away from any grabby zombie-types that are following her through the dingy back-alleys of the city, and an infinitely reusable knife. Yes you read that right. No more knife durability, like in RE2.

So naturally, we'll be seeing knife-only speedruns of the game within days of its release, and that's absolutely encouraged.

Oh, and Nemesis? Yeah, he's as terrifying and unpredictable as ever. He'll pop up when you least want him to and ruin your day - but that's all part of the fun of a zombie apocalypse, right?

Anyway, that's just our initial thoughts and, naturally, we'll be looking forward to the game's demo and full release alongside everybody else.
