Rockstar Games had a bit of a weird time of it on Steam last night. The studio's entire catalogue of games was removed from Valve's storefront before returning 30 minutes later. Stranger still, Midnight Club 2, a game that was pulled from sale back in 2018, mysteriously reappeared before Rockstar took it away again an hour later.

It's not entirely clear why any of this happened, but we'd assume someone made a mistake and then hauled ass to correct it. In the middle of this mayhem, Rockstar manage to quietly issue updates for Max Payne 3 and L.A Noire. If you own either game, all of the previous paid DLC is now available to you. If you've yet to purchase either one of these excellent titles, all of this DLC is now included in the base game as standard. That's actually a fairly substantial amount of content to get for nothing.

In other strange but brilliant Rockstar news, the studio recently confirmed it would be making changes to Grand Theft Auto Online's sluggish load times. The online game's lengthy loading screens have long been a point of contention for players, until a modder known as tostercx/t0st stepped in and found a way to them by a whopping 70%.

Upon catching wind of this discovery, Rockstar itself confirmed that "after a thorough investigation, we can confirm that player t0st did, in fact, reveal an aspect of the game code related to load times for the PC version of GTA Online that could be improved. As a result of these investigations, we have made some changes that will be implemented in a forthcoming title update."

t0st was awarded $10,000 for their troubles, and Rockstar will roll out the coveted loading time fix soon. Now if we could just get Midnight Club 2 back on sale, all would be right with the world.
