Rockstar Releasing A Game Next Year, According To American Hip-Hop Group

There's mounting evidence to suggest that Rockstar Games is releasing a new project in 2020. American hip hop group City Morgue recently took to Instagram to tease that they'd collaborated with the Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2 studio on... something.
It's currently unclear what exactly the group could be teasing. It might be something fairly mundane, like a new soundtrack for the still-thriving GTA Online. On the other hand, it could very well be a soundtrack for a brand-new game... like GTA VI. It's impossible to say for sure at this point, but City Morgue's Instagram revelation is the latest in a long line of hints that Rockstar has something big on the way.

Most recently, it was discovered that Rockstar North - the Edinburgh-based branch of the company that led development on Red Dead Redemption 2 - was hiring for an Animation Systems Programmer to work on a new project. The job listing specified that the company was looking for someone to work on developing advanced animation systems for a next-gen open world character-based game.
"Next-gen" presumably refers to the the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Scarlett, both of which are currently expected to arrive towards the end of 2020. Given that City Morgue's mysterious collaboration allegedly arrives in the Summer of 2020, that wouldn't actually line up with the next-gen console launches. Damn.
One of the members of City Morgue later revealed in a DM that the group would be sharing more details "soon." As much as I hate to admit it, it's looking more likely that the collaboration is nothing more than an updated soundtrack for GTA Online.
Having said that, there's every possibility the famously secretive Rockstar could have one more title planned to release before the end of the current-generation's life. Steven Ogg, who played Trevor in GTA V, recently suggested that a sequel would be released by 2020/2021.
According to an attendee at Ogg's appearance on a panel at the Brazil Game Show, the actor revealed that GTA VI would be releasing at some point in the near(ish) future, reasoning that Rockstar's "games take 7-8 years to make, do the math." At this point though, it really doesn't make much sense for Rockstar to release the next Grand Theft Auto on PS4 and Xbox One.
I suppose there's a small chance that Rockstar could see the current generation out with a surprise release of Bully 2. Rumours of a sequel to the 2006 fan-favourite have been flying around a lot this year. It recently came to light that Rockstar started work on a follow-up years back, but ultimately scrapped it.
That's not to say the studio would never start up work on it again, though. Perhaps enlisting a group like City Morgue to work or appear on the game's soundtrack? Honestly, it probably is just an update to GTA V/Online though. Temper your expectations, basically.
