Although it's by no means confirmed, it sounds incredibly likely that a Knights of the Old Republic remake is on the way. It's always nice for original fans to revisit old stories, as well as introducing new gamers to past worlds so rumoured remakes are always exciting. And although we're going on vague suggestions that a KOTOR remake is in production, fans are searching far and wide for any more details on the project.

On the Gaming Leaks and Rumours subreddit, user Mtol115 has gone through the trouble of looking for LinkedIn profiles of employees potentially working on the project. And they've come back with the conclusion that Knight of the OId Republic has probably been in production since 2019.

The post says that there are currently over 20 employees at Aspyr that were previously part of the team at BioWare (the devs that originally produced KOTOR). Although Aspyr has historically been a studio for porting games, there were apparently staff LinkedIn posts that suggested that they were working on a triple-A RPG. These posts are now gone, but with the timing of former BioWare staff joining the company it seems that this is enough for dedicated fans to believe a KOTOR game has been in production since 2019. Yet again, though, this is a rumour that doesn't confirm fans' speculation, but it does add to the evidence.

As some other users point out on the Reddit post, rumours originally started spouting about a new KOTOR game around 2019-20, which lines up with when the game would have started production.

KOTOR fans and everyone else are fairly certain of a remake on the horizon because of games industry journalist Jason Schreier hinting at the development on Resetera, spotted by GamesRadar. It's unlikely that Schreier would even joke about a remake if it wasn't in production, but of course, this is not yet confirmed - it's just unlikely that there would be this many signs pointing to a new KOTOR game without it being true.
