Sean Bean, back at the very start of Game of Thrones, played the central character of Ned Stark - an important political figure in the world of Westeros, and father to other main characters Jon Snow, Sansa, Arya, Bran, Robb, and Rickon Stark. If you didn't know already, Ned dies at the end of the first series and in the first book by George R. R. Martin after the tyrannical King Joffrey orders him to be beheaded. This ultimately sends all of his kids off on different life paths, each playing an instrumental part in the rest of the story.

Game of Thrones ran for eight series of highs and lows, and quite famously had an ending many viewers were dissatisfied with. Though Bean was a huge part of the first series, it turns out he didn't watch the rest of the show after he departed - and didn't even know how the series ended until journalists at The Times told him.

You too can be a mother of dragons in the upcoming game November Eve, where you get to ride the beasts yourself...

After saying he didn't mind the spoilers (because he won't remember them), the actor was told that the ending saw Sansa Stark as Queen of the North and Bran Stark named of King of Westeros. Bean then asks: "So did Winterfell stay separate? Oh, good for them." It seems that he took the news far better than a lot of the population - didn't even complain about the fates of Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen. Good for you Sean Bean, good for you.

Though many found the ending of the main Game of Thrones series dissatisfying, a new spin-off series is on the way. House of the Dragon, starring Olivia Cooke and Matt Smith, is in production, and we've already seen some set images. The blonde wigs are very fetching, don't you agree?
