Just stay calm

You have to feel for the hardcore Silent Hill fans out there, don't you? The once-iconic survival horror series was once considered to be one of the greats. Now, the mere mention of it kind of bums us out and reminds us of that it's been years since Konami released a new entry.

Yet in spite of this, the fans never lose hope - even though almost every rumour and apparent tease over the last few years has so far amounted to precisely nothing. Last year multiple reports seemed to confirm that Konami was developing more than one new Silent Hill game. Unfortunately the company swiftly put those rumours to bed. It said that while it hasn't yet "completely closed the door on the franchise", it's probably not coming back in the way any of us might have expected. That's not terribly reassuring, is it?

Below is the most Silent Hill action we've had in a video game in quite some time:

I don't know if Death Stranding actor Norman Reedus is aware of the heartache Silent Hill fans have been put through, but his latest Instagram post would seem to suggest not. The former P.T actor and planned star of Hideo Kojima's Silent Hills recently shared a strange video on Instagram of himself dressed in a skeleton onesies stood next to Robbie the Rabbit from Silent Hill 3.

You can see a screenshot of the video below, or watch it yourself via this link. Just please be aware the clip does contain flashing lights.

So... what does this mean? Is Norman Reedus teasing a new Silent Hill project all these years after P.T was shut down? Or is vibing with a terrifying life-sized toy rabbit just something he likes to do of an evening? We just don't know at this stage, but given Konami's general approach to Silent Hill over the last few years, I would advise keeping your expectations nice and low for now.
