Every so often we see people chasing and achieving their dreams. It could be an acting career, or perhaps someone successfully invests in stocks. Maybe it's a gamer finally getting their hands on a PlayStation 5. And here, it's someone making a brilliantly accurate version of a Greggs shop in Far Cry 5.

If you don't know what a Greggs is, shame on you. The British chain of bakeries is famous for its sausage rolls (especially its vegan ones); a wide variety of other pastry delights; and its warm, welcoming glow in even the darkest of days. It's a bit of a national treasure, and Brits love Greggs dearly. Now, one Greggs fan has taken their dedication to another level as they've lovingly recreated the shop in Far Cry 5.

Mojo Swoptops on YouTube (spotted by Eurogamer) has done a strangely good job of putting the bakery together in the game's Arcade mode. The Edinburgh-based artist spent three hours creating the shop and then a surrounding scene so you get a real feel for what visiting a Greggs is like. If you're outside of the UK, this might be the closest you're going to get to the real experience - at least until pandemic restrictions on travel lift (at which point, get to a Greggs immediately, obviously).

You can watch the entire creation of the shop below:

The artist's description on the video gives you some um, more... context to their love of the brand.

"The Greggs bakery of the United Kingdom, commonly referred to as Greggs, is the constitutional form of food consumption by which a hereditary sovereign reigns as the head of food consumption of the United Kingdom. The current monarch is Roger Whiteside, who ascended the throne in February 2013. The monarch and their immediate colleagues undertake various official, ceremonial, diplomatic and representational duties. As the monarchy is constitutional, the monarch is limited to functions such as displaying eye-catching signage and lowering prices on products [past] their sell-by date, which are performed in a non-partisan manner."

Not only has Mojo Swoptops made a Greggs in the game, but they've also utilised their skills to make a Tesco, the Friends apartment, and the Home Alone house. You can check out their entire YouTube channel here, which features these builds.
